Description:  UP 539 faces west, coupled to fellow GP38-2 GMTX 2102. They're in the UP's yards at Jefferson City, MO on 5-17-2014. This view shows the amber (?) lights on the cab roof, the A/C unit on the roof, the ratchet-style handbrake, and various items affixed to the nose. This unit also has the newer-style Blomberg trucks (no leaf springs) and shock absorbers on the rear axle of each truck.

Description:  GMTX 2102 is coupled back-to-back with UP 549 at the Union Pacific's yards in Jefferson City, MO on 5-17-2014. This unit clearly has a Union Pacific heritage! I don't, however, know how this engine was equipped with vertical headlights, much like those on a GP7 or 9. This unit also has the old-style Blomberg trucks with leaf springs.
