KCS 310479 |
Description: |
KCS 310479 was part of a train on the former DME/ICE line in Davenport, IA on 1-19-2012. Note that it's coupled do DME 6200, which along with CITX 3057 was heading this train north through Davenport. The house or structure in the background is beautiful but after being away from the area for several years now, I don't remember the identity of it. The Mississippi River is behind me, fortunately a good ways behind me at this season of the year (the flood waters can sometimes rise quite extensively!) |

DME 6359, April 2010 |
Description: |
Called "Moount Rushmore" on the cab side. The white space in the middle, under the dynamic brake blister and pair of fans, at one time had a rendering of Mt Rushmore. See older photos of this unit for a better look-this is a scan of a color print I took in April 2010. I hadn't started using the digital camera at that time. |

DME 6364, safety slogan |
Description: |
This is a safety slogan painted at eye-level near the handrails. Good, sound advice for every situation! Bettendorf, IA, 4-03-2011 and this is a cropped image--I did not touch this locomotive nor trespass on railroad property in any way. |
