UP 8727 was the lead unit for a westbound UP train of empty hoppers in the UP yard at Jefferson City, MO, on 9-28-2020. When I took this photo, the diesel engine was not running but the engineer started it just a short time afterwards. There is no mistaking the whistling sound of an EMD turbocharger! |
