D&RGW 482, fireman's side |
Description: |
The other railfan and I were both brooding, I think, as we saw the fireman's side of D&RGW 482, a narrow-gauge 2-8-2, in what I think was a backlot of the Chama, NM yard. I was fearing the worst in July 1987, but other railfans have told me that this engine has been restored to operational status! |

D&RGW 482, rear of cab |
Description: |
This view shows the rear of the cab of D&RGW 482, which was in rather poor condition at the time. Notice that a lot of the parts, including gauges, are nowhere in sight. This was the condition in July 1987 but I understand this engine has been restored to operating condition. |

D&RGW 5706, 3669, and other items |
Description: |
D&RGW 5706, a black stock car, and 3669, a red wooden boxcar, are coupled to a green passenger car. Steam engine 482 rests in the background. This view looks north-northwest and it's a sight I never get tired of looking at! |
