Marshall University 1837, wedge or 3/4 view
Title:  Marshall University 1837, wedge or 3/4 view
Description:  Marshall University's GE C30-7, #1837, was parked near the old C&O passenger station on 8th Avenue in Huntington, WV over the Mother's Day weekend in 2013. I don't know why it was moved here--last time I saw it, it was parked or displayed closer to Third Avenue and around 22nd St nearer to the campus. Anyway, I hadn't seen this engine in years and was glad it didn't go to a scrapper!

Marshall University 1837, front view
Title:  Marshall University 1837, front view
Description:  Looking at the front of MU 1837, at the old C&O passenger station in Huntington, WV over Mother's Day weekend (May 12), 2013. Chief Justice John Marshall, whose image is seen above the coupler, was born in 1837. Dad graduated from Marshall in 1961, the year it became a university (before, it was Marshall College). This view looks almost due west.

Marshall University 1837, head-on view
Title:  Marshall University 1837, head-on view
Description:  This engine was moved (temporarily?) to the old C&O passenger station on 8th Avenue in Huntington, WV over Mother's Day weekend. I hadn't seen this engine in years and was glad it's still around! Photo looks almost due west. Engine is painted in white and bright green, almost kelly, if my eyes don't deceive me.
